International activities

Split-Dalmatia County (SDC), through participation in various initiatives and associations, has formed a coordinated and systematic cooperation with regions in neighboring countries and regions of the European Union. Bilateral relations with influential regions and membership in important international organizations have Townually led to fruitful cooperation in the economic domain, as well as specific projects developed in cooperation with the regions from abroad on various programs, particularly those of cross-border cooperation.

Thanks to this collaboration, the Split-Dalmatia County, along with the county’s Public Institution for the Coordination and Development of SDC (RERA SD), actively participate in the preparation and implementation of projects of the European Union, through partnerships with neighboring regions. Just in the second half of 2011, the county applied competitively for projects in the IPA cross-border program worth about 29 million euros.
