Born on August 27, 1960 in Split. He is married to his wife Marica, with whom he has three children. He lives with his family in Solin.He graduated from the Maritime School in Split (ship engineering technician).
He is a Croatian veteran and bearer of the Homeland War monument and the "Storm" Order. He was the Mayor of Solin for eleven years.
From 2005 until the end of his mandate (by resigning from the post of Mayor of the City of Solin) until May 31, 2016. On December 28, 2015, he became a member of the Croatian Parliament until October 14, 2016. In the Croatian Parliament, he was a member of the Committee for Selection of Appointments and Administrative Affairs, a member of the Committee for Petitions and Complaints, and a member of the Committee for Local and Regional Self-Government.
From October 19, 2016, he again held the position of a member of the ninth convocation of the Croatian Parliament until June 17, 2017. By winning the local elections in 2017, he was elected to the post of prefect of the Split-Dalmatia County. The official mandate began on June 19, 2017.
In the Croatian Parliament, he was a member of the Committee for Selection of Appointments and Administrative Affairs, a member of the Committee for Petitions and Complaints, and a member of the Committee for Local and Regional Self-Government.He is a member of the High Honorable Court and a member of the HDZ Central Board.
